We're exciting to announce we will be offering light therapy lamps for use starting mid-January. Light therapy lamps are designed to mimic spring and summer light levels as a way to treat the "winter blues" or Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD), a type of depression with symptoms that include fatigue, anxiety, weight gain and sleep disorders.
Lamps will be located on our first and second floors. Instructions on how to use the service will be next to lamps.
Would you like to learn how to use the lamps? NAMI Fox Valley will also be at the library various Wednesdays to provide assistance and information on light therapy lamps. Check out the schedule below to see when they'll be here.
