We are excited to announce beginning in January we will be a new Memory Café site for the Fox Valley Memory Project. Memory Cafés are for those experiencing early stage dementia, mild memory loss or cognitive impairment, and for family and friends of those affected. It’s a great opportunity for lively discussions, information gathering, refreshments, camaraderie and lots of creative fun thrown in.
The first meeting will be held Saturday, January 9 from 10:00 - 11:30 am. The theme will be “Aloha” which in the Hawaiian language means affection, peace, compassion and mercy. Malakia’s Polynesian Dance Troupe will perform. There will also be snacks and door prizes. Bring a memento of a favorite vacation memory to share.
