Call for Artists

We serve as the center of community life by providing the space and programming where citizens can learn, know, gather and grow. Our Artist-in-Residence program celebrates the work of local artists and welcomes community members of all ages to experience the arts through engaging opportunities.

Funded by the Friends of the Appleton Public Library, residencies last for 2 months.* As a part of their residency, artists will:

  • Exhibit their work at the library
  • Offer a demonstration of their work at the library
  • Lead two hands-on workshops open to the public and tailored to certain age groups as needed.

If you have a new idea that you want to try, let us know. We enjoy hearing new ideas. Please email Elizabeth Eisen (eeisen@apl.org) or Kristi Helmkamp (khelmkamp@apl.org) questions about the Artist-in-Residence program or the application process. Submissions for the 2017 year will close on September 5, 2016. Click here to apply! We look forward to hearing from you!

*The Artist-in-Residence Program is subject to change based on available funding.
